Keeping the Connection: New Legacy Scholarships for UWAA Member FamiliesIt's natural to want your children and grandchildren to attend your alma mater. If you are the Person family of Gig Harbor, you've had four generations of Huskies in your family: great-grandfather Max, '47; grandfather Dave, '49; father Jack , '75; and brother and sister Kerry, '00, and Kimberley, '01. The others are David, '61; Susan, '61; Alan, '67; Linda, '72; and Dean, '72 These legacy families are an important link to the past--and the UW's future. The program is open to current UW students from legacy families. Applicants must be enrolled full time and on track to be a junior or senior for Fall Quarter 2004. The applicant's sponsor, a parent or grandparent, must be a UW graduate and current dues-paying UWAA. A minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstration of financial need are required.
