Words of Wisdom: Bob Rondeau on...

Football vs. Basketball: "I don't know if I enjoy doing football more than I do basketball, they're just different. I think football tends to be a little more intense because of how it's perceived in the community. I'd like to see basketball perceived that intensely and hopefully that will happen here in the near future."

Student-Athletes Leaving Early: "If I was in their shoes and had the same kind of talent, I'd do the same thing. The money is such that you just can't ignore it. In a perfect world, you'd love a kid to get four years of education and then go on to whatever profession, but that's not realistic anymore."

Husky Stadium:"If I was in their shoes and had the same kind of talent, I'd do the same thing. The money is such that you just can't ignore it. In a perfect world, you'd love a kid to get four years of education and then go on to whatever profession, but that's not realistic anymore."

The Apple Cup "It's the one game where you can truly throw out the records. I love the banter that goes on, and I love how passionate both sides are about their schools."

The 1991 National Championships:"That year, more than any other, you would have wished for one more game and a chance to go play Miami. I have no doubt that Husky team could have beaten anybody--they were that much better."

Favorite Broadcasters:"I always admired Keith Jackson and Jack Buck. Nowadays, I really like Mike Patrick and Brad Nessler a lot. And that whole ESPN football crew is solid with Joe Theisman and Paul McGuire."
