The first major international exhibit to explore modern Chinese art is now on view at the UW Henry Art Gallery and the Tacoma Art Museum. Statistics graduate student Adam Karp, '98, catches a lot of attention in his $8,250 human-powered, 21-speed tricycle. The fiberglass shell vehicle includes a stereo system, cell phone, trunk and 12-volt rechargeable battery. Starting in the basement of Denny Hall, the University Book Store has grown over the century into one of the most successful college book stores in the nation with its main store on the "Ave.," seven branches and on-line services.
