A lot of round-trip tours of Egypt will provide airfare, accommodations and ground transportation, but only the 2010 UW Alumni Tour offers a world-renowned Middle East expert as well. Joel Migdal, the Robert F. Phillip Professor of International Studies at the UW, will accompany travelers on a two-week tour of Egypt next January. Moscow, Uglich, Yaroslavl, Kizhi Island, Mandrogi and St. Petersburg.
