UW Alumni Tours 2010

A lot of round-trip tours of Egypt will provide airfare, accommodations and ground transportation, but only the 2010 UW Alumni Tour offers a world-renowned Middle East expert as well. Joel Migdal, the Robert F. Phillip Professor of International Studies at the UW, will accompany travelers on a two-week tour of Egypt next January. It's one of more than 30 extraordinary tours being offered by the UW Alumni Association in 2010. Here are some other highlights of the 2010 tour schedule:

COSTA RICA, Feb. 25-March 8
A trip that will include a little of everything: volcanoes, rainforests, rivers, city life, village life, an archeological site and a secluded beach resort.

SINGAPORE TO DUBAI CRUISE, April 24-May 13
A voyage across the Indian Ocean along the spice-trade route, punctuated by stops at remote beaches and major cities.

RUSSIAN RIVER CRUISE, July 5-17
A tour of Russia's rivers and lakes aboard the Repin, with stops at Moscow, Uglich, Yaroslavl, Kizhi Island, Mandrogi and St. Petersburg.
